Entrevistada da Semana: Sarah Wadey

É com prazer que anuncio a nossa entrevistada da semana, Sarah Wadey, que é a recepcionista da ALI e minha colega de trabalho. 
Vamos ver o que ela tem a nos dizer? :-)

1. O que você faz aqui na ALI?

Eu sou a recepcionista da Academie Linguistique Internationale, eu atendo o o telefone e estou aqui para assistir os alunos em quaqluer pergunta geral que eles possam ter. Eu preparo os certificados e as cartas de atestação para os alunos, e também os informo em relação a quem eles devem se direcionar quando eles tiverem perguntas específicas.

2. Em quais horários podemos te encontrar na recepção?

Estou na recepção entre as 8:00 até ao 12:30, e das 13:00 até as 16:30.

3. Qual é o melhor horário para comprar livros?

Vocês podem comprar livros todos os dias, mas não se esqueçam que a recepção está fechada do 12:30 as 13:00. Além disso, nós não vendemos livros no primeiro dia de sessão.

4. Qual é o melhor horário para fazer carteirinhas de estudante?

Vocês podem fazer as carteirinhas de estudante todas as terças e quintas-feiras, entre 14:30 e 16:00.

5. Quando os alunos devem ir buscar seus certificados?

Os certificados são dados no seu último dia de aula depois das 13:00. Se vocês precisarem do certificado antes desta data vocês tem que me avisar com antecedência.

6. Conte-nos um pouquinho sobre você. Na sua opinião, o que um estudante deve fazer para aprender uma nova língua?

Meu nome é Sarah e eu tenho 24 anos, eu adoro ler no meu tempo livre. Minhas leituras favoritas são histórias fantásticas e relacionadas a atividades paranormais.

Eu acho que o melhor jeito para aprender uma nova língua é fazer amigos que falam essa língua. Para mim, há 5 anos atrás, o meu Francês não era muito bom, mas eu trabalhava num restaurante onde fiz uma amiga que falava só Francês. No final, eu acabei a ajudando com o Inglês e ela me ajudou com o Francês. Uma outra maneira de aprender é assistir TV na língua que você está aprendendo.

7. Por último, qual é o seu lugar favorito na cidade? Por que?

Meu lugar favorito é a Ste. Catherine, porque nela existem muitas lojas. Minhas lojas favoritas são livrarias que se chamam Chapters e Indigo.

1.What do you do at our school?

I am the receptionist at Academy Linguistique Internationale, I answer the phone I am here to answer any general questions that the students may have. I prepare the certificates and attestations for students as well as inform students of whom they need to talk to if I cannot answer their questions.

2.At what time can we find you at reception?

I am at reception between 8:00 AM to 12:30 and 1:00PM to 4:30 PM

3. What is the best time to buy books?

You can buy books every day, but remember that reception is closed for 12:30 to 1:00 pm. Also we do not sell books on the first day of the session.

4. What is the best time to make student cards?

You can make student cards on Tuesday and Thursday ONLY between 2:30 and 4:00 pm

5. When should students get their certificates?

Certificates are given out on your last day of classes after 1:00 pm if you need it before you need to notify me ahead of time.

6. Tell us a little bit about yourself. In your opinion, what should students do to learn a new language?

My name is Sarah I am 24 years old and I love to read in my spare time. I enjoy reading mostly fantasy and paranormal type novels. I think the best way for students to learn a language is to make friends with people you already speak the language as they can help. I know for me about five years ago my French was not that great but back then I was working at a restaurant and one of my colleagues could only speak French so she help me with my French and I helped her with her English. Another way is to read and watch TV in the language that you are trying to learn.

7. At last but not least, what is your favorite spot in the city and why?

That would my St. Catherine street, because of all the shopping and stores and let’s not forget Chapters/Indigo the book store(fav).
